The inspiration for Soup Queen comes from a grandmother's story. She taught her children and grandchildren that dried ingredients preserve nutrition and create deeper flavors. And while herbal soups are considered Chinese specialties, Soup Queen has fused flavors from many cultures together to create a modern twist on traditional soup recipes.
It is Amrita’s mission to create better-for-you plant-based snacks that nourish the body and soul. They follow a triple bottom line—where people and social mission take equal priority to profits. And finally, they are deeply involved in giving back to the autism community by providing employment to young adults in the spectrum.
Wing on Wo & Co. is the oldest continuously operating store in Manhattan’s Chinatown boasting a five-generation long legacy in the heart of Mott St. They primarily sell traditional porcelain ware and customary Chinese goods. But they also breathe new life into established crafts by reinterpreting the conventional through a progressive Asian American lens.
Yumei is an artisan bakery that uses fondant, candy, and chocolate to make edible cake (cupcake) toppers and edible cake decorating ornaments. Their Mahjong-inspired confection is famous and is a playful symbol of good luck. They also offer custom-made items based on personal requests because their goal is to help you make your dream cake.
